Open Doors: A Foundational Program

Helping new nonspeaking individuals begin their journey with Spelling to Communicate (S2C)

Our Purpose: Opening the Path to Communication

Open Doors is a foundational program designed for new nonspeaking clients and families beginning their journey with Spelling to Communicate (S2C).
The program integrates regulation, motor development, and communication from the very first session, with letterboard use introduced immediately in a supported and encouraging environment.

What the Program Offers

Phase 1: Orientation

Trust-building, early regulation, first letterboard introduction.

Phase 2: Foundations

Strengthening motor skills, posture, and pointing.

Phase 3: Communication Growth

We equip non-speakers with tools and support to reach their potential.

Phase 4: Peer Integration

Social activities, buddy programs, group work.

Phase 5: Independence

Moving toward open communication + transition into main program.

Open Doors includes regular family workshops, observation sessions, and progress reviews to ensure caregivers fully understand and support the S2C journey.
